WATER RESCUE SERVICE  
1995
- the first educated rescuer in Subotica via Macedonia Red Cross
1997
- summer camp of first aid and water rescue.
The camp is of international caracter; the education was performed by the international instructors (Kiril Stojmenov and Tome Ristevski from Macedonia, C. Sabo Andraš and Šomodi Ferenc from Hungary).
In this camp 9 rescuers were educated, of which 6 stay active and form the Water Rescue Service.In September - the begining of safeguarding of the swimming pool in Dudova šuma.
1998

- The show excersice in Palic for May day.
- II Summer Camp of first aid and water rescue (instructors from Macedonia and
Hungary) educated 35 rescuers on water (28 Subotica citizens).
- The water rescue instructors education in Germany (Halle). Instructors: Melinda
Mikloš, Radomir Zoric, Viktor Steinfeld, Žolt Sendi.

- Forming of the Water Rescue Service Management
- Tour of duty on the swimming pool
- Within the travelling school, work with kindergarten and school children related
to prevention of drowning,

1999
- Show excercise in Palic for May day
- Forming of the Intervention unit due to NATO bombing.
- Water rescue education, 25 rescuers passed successfully.
- III Summer camp of the firs aid and water rescue; besides the international
instructors from Macedonia and Hungary, instructors from Subotica also educate;
11 rescuers educated

- Subotica becomes the Centre for the water rescue
- The education of rescuers in August, instructors from Subotica, 10 rescues
educated
- Seminar for water rescuers education and the education of the instructors of YUGOSLAV RED CROSS,
10 instructors for water rescue educated (3 Subotica citizens) and 26 water
rescuers (3 Subotica citizens). Instructors - international instructors from
Macedonia, instructors from Hungary, ILS instructors from Italy, instructors from
the German Red Cross, instructors from Subotica.
- The application of the intervention team for floods and natural disaster - to the
Subotica Borough Vojvodina Red Cross, Yugoslav Red Cross, Hungary Red Cross.
- The intervention team of 8 members (The leader of the team - nurse, a doctor, 4
water rescuers, 2 divers) ready for action during flood (the relief asked for by the
Bekešcaba Red Cross).
2000
Show excercise in Palic for May day
- Water rescures competition of the Upper Saxon (Saxon Anhalt, Germany) where
the combined team of water rescuers form Subotica and Kragujevac wins 7th
place out of 40 teams.
- The education of water rescuers (Subotica citizens) - 10 educated rescuers.

- Education in Ada, candidates from Ada and Senta - 10 educated rescuers.
- IV Summer Camp of first aid and water rescue, 6 rescuers educated.
- Water rescue camp, instructors from Subotica, 59 rescuers educated.

It is our pleasure to conclude that the National Society confirmed the fact that the Organization in Subotica became the Centre for water rescue education. The efforts which were employed in recent years in to this program, slowly but safely ensure outstanding results in water rescuing, within the country and abroad.

At this moment, the Red Cross has at its disposal over 90 active rescuers, out of which we have 7 instructors. In Subotica, a total number of 231 water rescuers were educated.

During already traditional water resue summer camp, organized by Red Cross Suboticaeach summer, with the support of co-workers from Hungary and Macedonia, during last year 85 youngsters from throughout the country were educated, who were ranked into various categories of rescuers after the final examination, depending on their results.
