TEAMS
FOR ACTING IN ACCIDENTS - "CATASTROPHY TEAMS"
The
Red Cross Subotica since 1997 has a specialy trained
srevice of water rescuers which was, since the same
year, alarmed for several times in taking care of flood
concequences in the area of North Backa Disctict, Yugoslavia
and abroad (Hungary).
Since
December 2000 the team of water rescuers, first aid
team and home nursing team have been trained according
to the program and concept of the Yugoslav Red Cross
for "acting in accidents". After this training,
Subotica and North Backa District got the Disctict unit
for relief with 32 members which has the possibility
to go out to the field within 12 to 24 hours and to
take care for 72 hours at teh same time, evacuated the
hurt and to raise a tent settlement where the evacuated
are taken care of.
